Statement of Faith
Our Doctrinal Basis.

We believe in:
One true God, the Almighty Creator of Everything:
The eternal, spiritual, personal Source of Life,
Who exists infinitely in three Persons full of love, truth & glory –
The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The authority and entire trustworthiness of the Holy Bible:
Uniquely inspired as God breathed into the hearts of its authors
To be faithfully interpreted using sound principles of exegesis
Which carefully treat the Bible as the Word of God
As well as the word written through men in various cultures, ages and styles.
The immense value and dignity of all people:
Created in God’s image in order to live in love and righteousness,
But alienated from God and each other because of our sin and guilt
In refusing to follow the law God planted in our minds and wrote in Scripture
Thus being justly subject to God’s judgment and wrath.
Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, fully human and fully divine:
Who lived perfectly on earth as an example of what we were created for
Who took on Himself the judgment we as sinners were due by dying in our stead,
And who rose in victory from the dead, appearing in bodily form to His followers
To give the assurance of eternal life and of His continual presence with believers.
Justification by the grace of God to all who humbly repent of going their own way
And who put their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation,
While asking Christ to guide their life as Lord.
The Holy Spirit giving new life, direction and purpose to all believers,
Personally indwelling within each one in transforming power and love
Calling every Christian to a life of humble obedience and service to Christ.
The blessing of unity of all believers in Jesus Christ
Unveiled in faithfully cooperating, worshipping, witnessing churches
Making disciples throughout the world and among all peoples in every nation
The personal future return of Jesus Christ in victory
To judge all people with justice and mercy,
Giving over the unrepentant to condemnation apart from God
But receiving the redeemed into everlasting life with Him forever.
God receiving all glory and honor and praise forever
For He alone is worthy. |
